What's your goals in life?
What's your goals in life? When you heard this kind of question, what would your answer be? I once heard a sharing from a pastor in a church in NYC. He shared a story about a father of a boy. A young boy got an assignment from his teacher at school, wanted them to complete an easy assignment. The assignment needs him to interview his father regarding 3 ambitions in life.
When the boy asked his father, "Daddy, what's your first ambition in life?"The father of the boy answered, "Well, first and foremost, I hope I always have appetite to eat." Surprised by the answer, the boy said to his father, "Daddy, could you please stop joking, come on, please tell me the real answer."
Father answered again, " Yes, I hope I always have appetite to eat. You just jote down what I said. I am your interviewee." Reluctantly the boy joted down the first goal. Then the boy asked, "Dad, then what's your second goal in life?". The father answered, "I hope I am able to sleep well". "What's wrong with you, Dad?", the young boy thought his father is kiding again.
The 3rd question, "Dad, what's your third goal in life?".
The father answered, "I hope I can always laugh out loud."
Then the young boy handed in the completed assignment to his teacher. A couple of days later, when the teacher returned the assignment to each of the students. The teacher called the young boy to come to the front. Of course, the young boy felt so nervous. Yet, guess what? The teacher compliment his work and said, "Boy, your father really can see things deeply. Not everyone in this world can eat well, sleep well, and laugh in the lives. May be due to sickness, pressure or other circumstances. Your assignment deserves an A grade."
After reading this story, what's in your mind? =) Have you thought of these 3 things?
